高中英语新高考-英语作文：推敲词汇之make的替换词（附：实战作文批改实录） 我在前面讲过抽象名词的使用，例如： If we are exposed to much TV, we will lose imagination.  我们可以把if的从句换成： Rich exposure to TV 但是一个问题是：谓语怎么处理？ 同学们普遍这样来的： Rich exposure to TV will make us lose imagination.
当然句子是对的，但是，英语中老使用make，会让人感到词穷。实际上这样表达： Rich exposure to TV will cost us imagination. Cost本身就可以表示“使某人失去”。比较以下例子： The result made me disappointed. The result disappointed me. The Internet makes me learn English more conveniently. The Internet facilitate my English study.  The interference makes the country involved in a war. The interference involves the country in a war. 但是这样的词到此有哪些？我把牛津词典从头翻到尾，挑出130个这样的词汇解决大家的难题。这里节选最常用的31个：  必要性：necessitate 激发，鼓励：inspire, encourage 增加，减少：minimize, multiply, expose, rid 联系：associate, involve, alienate 使得: allow, leave, keep, set 感情色彩：convince, impress, satisfy, excite, amaze 有助于：help, facilitate, smooth, sharpen 能力：enable, equip, entitle 消极：anger, frustrate, burden, cost, blind, ruin 练习： 改写句子，请替换其中的make:  1. The newspapers make me know what take place in the world. 2. Computers make us solve difficult math problems in a short time. 3. The news made us feel afraid. 答案：  1. The newspapers keep me informed of what take place in the world. 2. Computers enable us to solve difficult math problems in a short time. 3. The news filled us with fear. 实战作文批改 Innovation Nowadays, innovation has been gaining increasingly popularity, which can lay a solid foundation for a country’s development. Thegravity（gravity: extreme importance and a cause for worry严重性，这是这个词的英文解释，创新这件事并没有for worry，所以这个词使用的不恰当，直接改为importance即可。） of innovation can never be overemphasized. As is known to all, it can serve as a constant source for productivity and technology, thus enhancing a country’s international competitiveness. And（改为转折连词however更好） without innovation, how can we enjoy a comfortable modern life? 总结： 逻辑：该作者本段谈创新的重要性，从科技和生产率两方面讲，且最后从反面论证，非常到位！  语言：本段用到了不少短语，例如cannot be overemphasized,  a constant source for，enhancing a country’s international competitiveness，非常棒！ As middle school students, developing innovative skills should undoubtedly be put at the top of the agenda(与前文状语逻辑注意不一致，应为：we should develop innovative skills and put them at the top of the agenda undoubtedly.). Considering that Chinese students nowadays are bent o
