Pollution There are many causes of pollution in our city. 1 Air pollution is a serious problem. Many vehicles and factories cause gas. Smoking is also air pollution and it causes lung cancer 肺癌 Air pollution cause the increase of temperature.：['tempritʃə] How can we prevent air pollution? we can go by bike,subway or walk instead of by car. we can plant more trees and flowers instead of building too many buildings we should let people know the importance of environmental protection by education. those who destroy the environment should be punished. Turn off lights, TV, radio or computers when they are not in use Use low-energy 低能的or energy-saving light bulb 2 Water becomes dirty in many ways With the development of industry, plants and factories pour industrial waster into rivers every day. The rivers have become seriously polluted, Factories should purify ：['pjuərifai],净化their waste water before pouring it into the rivers Government should make more laws to protect the river. 3 Noise pollution The sound of karaoke (卡拉OK) and the sound of all kinds of vehicles are noise pollution. Some people speak loudly in public and it's also noise pollution . In noise environments, most people are easy to get angry and cannot sleep peacefully. 4 The problem of “white pollution” is caused by using plastic bags.Luckily, The government has put a nationwide ban 禁令on the use of free plastic bags and all stores and supermarkets must not provide customers with free plastic bags. we should use cloth bags and shopping baskets . 5 What are the harms of land pollution? One of the cause of land pollution is garbage .Another is the damage of soil. It could harm our body because harmful chemicals may cause various cancer. 6.How can we prevent land pollution? The main thing we can do to prevent land pollution is to reduce waste. That means we should reuse and recycle as much as;possible. Firstly, don't buy heavily packed goods and use our own cloth bags when going to the supermarket. Besides, we should recycle cans, bottles, plastic bags, and newspapers. 7. Why some people do not care about the pollution problems of the city? Some people do not care about the pollution problems of the city because they don't know the results . Some people are indifferent about it because it has not affected them yet. 8. Who do you think is more responsible for pollution, individuals ：[,indi'vidjuəl]or the government? Both the government and the individuals are responsible for pollution. Government should make laws to protect the environment and the individuals should follow the laws. People who damage the environment should be seriously punished. 9. What is global warming? Global warming and climate change refer to an increase in average global temperatures. 10. How can we reduce global warming? We should reduce greenhouse gases caused by the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal and oil.矿石燃料(如煤、石油、天然气等) We should reduce the use of cars and electricity. At the same time, we should plant more trees . 11. Why do we have to recycle? [ri:'saikl]使再循环;再利用 It's good for the environment because reducing waste can prevent land and water pollution. And recycle can save the natural resources [ri'sɔ:s]资源because we can make brand new things from used ones.  12 What are some things that can be recycled? There are all kinds of things that can be recycled such as such as paper， glass ,metal or battery. Glass bottles can be collected， and the glass is broken and reused for making new bottles. Paper bags are made from unsold newspapers. Leftover 吃剩的饭菜food is given to pigs and vegetable is put back onto the fields. 13 What are some things which you recycle? I recycle bottles and battery .For example , if the battery of my PSP has run down, I didn’t throw it away , and I use it for TV control . 14 Do you know about any anti-pollution programs in your community? There are three kinds of assorted dustbin / garbage containers（分类垃圾筒），kitchen garbage（厨余垃圾）、recoverable garbage（可回收垃圾）和unrecoverable garbage（不可回收垃圾) in my community. We should put different garbage into different dustbin. That’s garbage sorting.  15.
