Festivals Around the World
Festivals and celebrations have taken place everywhere since ancient times. Different festivals have different origins,some religious,some seasonal, some for beliefs and some for special people,such as the famous poet, Qu Yuan, who was drowned in MiLuo River,or great events, such as the harvest gained by starved hunters.
Every festival has its own significant meaning. Japanese festival Obon is in memory of their ancestors. On the important feast day of Mexico, people offer food in the shape of skulls and cakes with bone on them to honour the dead. In India, a national festival is to celebrate the independence from Britain.In our country there are two most important traditional festivals people look forward to, one is Mid-autumn Day, on which people gather together to celebrate agricultural harvest and admire the beauty of the full moon at night, the other is the Spring Festival.Before its arrival, people begin to prepare for it energetically, for example,a large number of companies hold party to give awards for their excellent clerks, who keep their word to complete their goals. Children take out beautiful clothing to dress up to go out to play with their parents’ permission. They play a trick on and have fun with each other day and night
Besides, there is a worldwide festival named Easter, which is for Christians,who set off early to turn up in church next to the parking lot. They hold their breath in front of Jesus’s portrait. In order to wipe sadness, they weep and apologize to God for they fooled others and beg to be forgiven, obviously it is a custom.
Festivals remind us of good days and expecting bright future. Lost in happy atmosphere, we forget everything as though the world stands still.

每个节日都有它自己的重要的意义。日本的盂兰盆节是为纪念他们的祖先. 在墨西哥的重要节日，人们提供头盖骨形状的食物 还有上面带骨头的蛋糕来纪念死者。在印度，国庆节是庆祝从英国独立。在我们国家，有两个人们期望的最重要的传统节日，一个是中秋节，在中秋节，人们聚到一起庆祝农业的丰收，并且在晚上欣赏圆月之美。另外一个是春节。在春节到来之前，人们就开始充满活力地做准备。例如，许多公司举办联欢会为那些遵守诺言完成目标的优秀员工颁奖。孩子们拿出漂亮的衣服盛装打扮在父母的允许下出去玩。他们整天彼此搞恶作剧，玩得非常开心。
另外，有一个世界范围的节日，叫复活节，是基督徒的节日，他们出发的很早出现在停车场旁的教堂。
他们在耶稣的画像前屏住呼吸。为了抹去悲伤，他们哭泣并且向上帝道歉忏悔，因为他们欺骗了别人，并且乞求被原谅。显然，这是一个风俗。
节日使我们想起美好的日子，期待光明的未来。沉浸在快乐的气氛中我们忘记了一切，仿佛世界静止了。
