Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am number 12. My name is Lily . I am very happy and excited to stand here. It is my great honor to share my teaching design with you. Today I am going to talk about the new lesson ,how was your weekend from unit 9 go for it junior English book, which published by people education press. Now first, I will analyze the teaching materials and students.
In this period , the main language function is to practice listening and speaking as well as the communicative skills .The study task is :what did you do last weekend. This period is the main part of this unit. It presents the main language structure and vocabulary. If the students can grasp the knowledge of this section. It will lay a good foundation for the rest part of this unit.
Our students are in grade 7. They are active and curious, interested in new things. After learning English for three years, they have some basic English knowledge, so I will attach importance to the communication with them. Providing them the chances of using language. As for some poor students in learning English, I will give they more chances to practice and encourage them, increase their interest in learning English .
Based on the above analysis, I made out the following three teaching aims. The first one is language knowledge. By the end of the lesson, make sure that all the students can read, recognize and use these words; did went visit, the phrases. What about, at home, and the sentences :what did you do last weekend. The second one is language skills. Students can understand the dialogue and get useful information from reading. Students abilities of listening and speaking will be developed; the third one is emotional aim. In this lesson, the emotional aim is to help student's cultivate their abilities of working in groups, to foster Ss' consciousness of good cooperation.
The important points is to make sure that Ss' can use the new words, and sentences correctly. Also, to develop Ss' interest in English.
The difficult points is Ss can write some sentences correctly using the language learned in this period. To enable Ss to study in groups and cooperation skillfully.
In order to achieve the above teaching aims, I'll use the following teaching methods; task based teaching method TPR teaching method, cooperation in groups.
The teaching aids are: tape recorder, books ,pictures computer and PPT.
As for the teaching procedure, I'll finish this lesson in six steps:warming up, Presentation ,practice, production, summary and homework.
Now I'll start my lesson from step 1 warning up. I will have a greeting with Ss in order to form a good habit of learning English. After greeting, I'll begin this lesson by singing the song :ten little Indians together with the Ss. It's important for the Ss to from a better English learning surrounding . At the same time, it provides situations to review learned knowledge.
Next ,go to step 2 presentation. I will mainly talk about this step. I will show some pictures to present the new words . And ask:what this, yes,it's a word card . Let's learn .now read after me , girls please ,boys please, this line one bye one. I will teach other new words by the same way . Then ask ss turn to page57 and look at the picture, ask question ,present the pattern; firstly, lead the students to read the sentence .make sure they can say it correctly. Secondly,
